The contest aims to promote the role and strength of communities, especially ethnic minority women, in developing and carrying out livelihood initiatives in connection with honouring local products, ensuring the sustainability of the environment and promoting clean production for sustainable development.
Ethnic minority groups and families carrying out production and business models and putting forth initiatives to create more jobs and increase the families’ income, as well as boosting community economic development in northern mountainous localities, are eligible.
Addressing the launching ceremony, MOLISA Deputy Minister Nguyen Trong Dam stressed that communities play a crucial role in carrying out poverty reduction models.
“The contest will help to disseminate and encourage the whole nation to care for poverty reduction solutions in communities,” he said.
The contest will last until this December./.
