In the 2015-2016 school year alone, the General Department of State Reserves has distributed over 72,000 tons of rice to over 540,000 poor pupils in 49 provinces and cities.

Mr. Pham Phan Dung, Head of the General Department of State Reserves, said that since 2016, the General Department has worked with the National Assembly Ethnic Minorities Committee to organise three inspections on the implementation of the Prime Minister’s decision on rice distribution to poor pupils.

Inspections showed that despite inconvenient traffic conditions in some localities, the rice has been allocated timely and adequately./.
