On October 15th, 2015, in Hanoi, the Ministry of Labour – Invalids and Social Affairs (MOLISA) in collaboration with Committee for Ethnic Minority Affairs, UNDP in Vietnam and Ireland Embassy (Irish Aid) in Vietnam held the Conference on idep/day for the Poor with the theme: “Actions of Vietnam to leave no one behind”. Attending the Conference were Mrs. Pham Thi Hai Chuyen – the Minister of MOLISA; Mr. Son Phuoc Hoan – the Deputy Minister, Deputy Head of Committee for Ethnic Minority Affairs; Mrs. Cait Moran – Irish Ambassador; Mrs. Pratibha Mehta – Resident Head Coordinator of UN in Vietnam, representatives of the ministries, sectors, NGOs, related agencies and international and domestic experts on poverty reduction.

She said Vietnam has participated in all 8 culture fairs organized by Mexico City since 2009. The Vietnamese booth always attracts a lot of visitors with elegant and Ao Dai, palm-leaf conical hats, delicious food, and unforgettable coffee. The 2016 Mexican Culture Fair took place from May 21st to June 5th with the participation of 94 countries, including France as a special guest. There were 200 different activities at the fair, which attracted 3.5 million visitors.
