The event is expected to draw the participation of 14 ethnic minority groups from Ha Giang, Lao Cai, Cao Bang, Yen Bai, Thai Nguyen, Lang Son, Bac Kan, Tuyen Quang, Lai Chau, Son La, Dien Bien, Thanh Hoa, Nghe An and Dak Lak provinces.

The information was released on July 10th at a meeting held by Ha Giang provincial Organizing Board for major festivals.

Titled “preserving and promoting Mong ethnic cultural identities in renovation, integration and national sustainable development”, diverse activities such as performances of cultural activities, sports competitions and Mong folk games will be held.

The event will be held by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism in coordination with the Ha Giang provincial People’s Committee to honour the fine traditional culture of the Mong ethnic group.

This will be an opportunity for localities to share experience in the preservation and promotion of the traditional culture values of the Mong ethnic minority group./.
